We first left for England on August 8th and arrived the next day. When we got to our house, I was a little unsure of where we were in the city, and what type of house we had rented. I have never lived in the city before, so I was nervous about living in London for seven weeks. So far, I have been here for two weeks and I have really enjoyed looking and going to different places. My favorite place that I have been so far would be Covent Garden. The shops and stores were quaint and reminded me a lot of Diagon Alley from Harry Potter. On some of the shops there were leaves and vines growing up and around the stone from the building; it was almost like something from out of a fairy tale.
There were several other places that I wanted to see, and most were the museums. What I've enjoyed the most so far would have to be the Warner Brother Studios Harry Potter tour. The tour had the different sets, showed how each character and set were made, how
quidditch was actually filmed, and so much more. The museum was fascinating and it was interesting to learn how the cast, the producers, and everyone working on the set of Harry Potter made all eight films. There are a couple more things I would like to do before we go up to Lancaster. I'd like to go on the Eye of London. I think it would be very exciting to go all the way to the top and look out and see a beautiful view of the city. I would also like to go to Buckingham Palace because that is where the Queen lives and fulfils her duties. I think it would be really interesting see it and to learn more about that. I would also like to go there because of the architecture and the way the palace was built. I am very excited to be in England and to experience a new place!
